The first season of the series The Walking Dead began broadcasting on October 31, 2010 on the AMC channel and concluded on December 5 of that same year. The international transmission was in charge of the FOX chain.
The program is based on the eponymous comic created by Robert Kirkman, Tony Moore and Charlie Adlard, and was developed for television by Frank Darabont, who also serves as showrunner of the series.
In Latin America the series premiered on November 1, 2010 and in Spain on November 03, 2010.
